How should i ask this girl out to a Homecoming Dance?

She’s in my 3rd period History class, I talk to her on AIM (rarely) but we know were online a lot, I have her on my Twitter, She’s had an ex-boyfriend, and I’ve had an ex too(girlfriend). . . ALSO her ex goes to the same school as us but that doesn’t matter Also a lot of people probably know i like her, i’ve sent her the cutest gift for her b-day and i’ve told some people i was gana ask her out to homecoming but i need some tips =p like When and Where or how pls comment ur opinion pls
She also hangs out with her friends in the hall during lunch(little detail ^^:im taller of course)
Her ex hangs out just on a different hall(splitted from our library)
