SEO tips for a small online business?

Posted by: admin In: Twitter Info

I have had my ebay store for the past 2 years. I managed to do all I could and still feel like I am seriously lacking huge traffic unlike most of my competitors. They can get hits of 125 the first day, while I am so ar behind.

I belong to various sites
Chictopia
myspace
Blogger
twitter
facebook
even goodle ads which actually does nothing for me.

I even tried expanding keywords.

Can someone let me know what I MIGHT not be doing or doing wrong?

Here is my website

You have a good site. It’s a pity you do not have traffic. I see you are using various social networking sites, there are techniques you learn can play thousands of free traffic. Now SEO is a huge problem and I can write a whole book about it. You can not just learn in one day. This saves much time and Moey, if you have a mentor to teach you all things. You’ve heard from Jonathan Budd? He is a great mentor with many years of experience.

I posted this answer on another question. I think that it is relevant for yours as well. :) You may want to consider creating a stand alone website rather than an ebay shop. You can link to your shop from the site, but it will give you the freedom to really promote your business.

You are on the right track in recognizing the need to optimize your site. Keep in mind that SEO is an ongoing process. There are lots of ways to promote your site and gain more traffic.

Here are some ideas:

1. Add your business to online directories (with a link to your website).
2. Update your site content on a monthly basis.
3. Make sure to use your “keywords” in the text of your website.
4. Make certain to mention your company name numerous times within the text of your site.
5. Create a blog or profile on a social network.

I hope these ideas help.
